I must admit that I had never considered visiting a beauty salon. Opting instead to shave any areas that required it myself. But an upcoming event that requires some dressing up prompted me to consider giving Waxing a try. The thought of it and the anticipated pain were my first barrier but I decided to message Jacqui and make an appointment. To my surprise Jacqui was most approachable and even offered to invite me in to see her salon and to meet her in advance as I was passing the following day which did help to ease some of my trepidation. The following morning, I arrived for my session, and I needn’t have worried because within a few minutes Jacqui had me totally at ease with her friendly and straightforward approach. The fact that I was totally naked on a bed in a strange position with a total stranger waxing my backside completely forgotten. My embarrassment and the anticipated pain did not materialise as I found the warm wax pleasurable and the removal process almost painless mainly down to the high-quality wax products used and Jacqui’s skill in administering them. And even when it came time to turn over and things got more personal down below Jacqui just remained professional and carried on regardless even though my previous shaving attempts had left her little hair to wax exceptional results were produced. All this whilst engaging in great conversation and quite a few laughs a really pleasurable experience so now I will be discarding the shaver and definitely be back again.

Lovely, chatty, down to earth and thoughtful woman. Put me at ease on my very first visit some years back. So being naked and fiddled with in her presence now seems like the most unconditionally natural thing in the world, while we both ‘ shoot the breeze’ – in between bouts of screaming (joking). Very professional with meticulous attention to detail. Makes a little bit of pain worth the brilliant smooth results. Excellent well maintained salon facilities. As a global waxing aficionado now, Jaqueline is my ‘go to’ waxer of choice. Wish I was rich enough to fly her out when away from these shores.

I first started going to Jacqueline as my surgeon had advised me to be bare down there for an operation, I had tried a razor with disastrous results even with my wife’s help before. So this time 3 days before the operation there I was laying on Jacqueline’s couch naked from the waist down while she made quick work of the jungle and reduced my intimate area to a totally smooth skin. Something it hadn’t been for 50years! There was no embarrassment even when she had to handle my bits to ensure everything was hairless. The surgeon was very impressed and the operation was totally successful. I have been attending the studio on a semi regular basis since then and have a gents no.1 every time I can’t recommend Jacqueline any more highly, make an appointment today I am sure you will not regret it!

However interesting and risk-driven my life had been up to this point, I was still nervous about the idea of my first-ever wax – in at the deep end with an all-over wax including an intimate wax. I always do my research before buying anything and in this case looked at many waxing websites in London and elsewhere and, despite her salon not being local to me, I chose Jacqui’s because, far from being the commercial and corporate norm, her website was much more friendly, fun and informative, and therefore less intimidating. I fully endorse what other testimonials have said: Jacqui immediately put one at ease in the couple of minutes between arriving at her very clean and covid-sensitive salon and being completely naked in front of a complete stranger. She was very efficient and knowledgeable while being friendly and matter-of-fact to distract one from the initial embarrassment and inevitable brief pain of hair parting company from skin. She gave me a very thorough and meticulous wax while making the whole process rather like having a nice drink together. A charming, fun, true professional whom I cannot recommend highly enough. Let’s face we men don’t grow up expecting to visit a beauty salon. So, it was no surprise that, after unsubtle prompting from my wife, I first entered Jacqui’s salon with more than a little trepidation. I needn’t have worried because within five minutes Jacqui had me totally at ease with her friendly manner and straightforward approach. That was over six years ago, and I have been back every month or so since. Now my nails are trimmed and healthy, my large wild eyebrows are under control whilst still definitely masculine and other bits of unsightly facial hair are waxed away much more thoroughly than those little “personal shavers” could ever do. Then of course there is the intimate wax. There again no embarrassment just a very professional job with every follicle hunted down and leaving me clean and looking as if I care. Despite all the cartoons and jokes I have found it virtually painless possibly because I keep to regular appointments. Cleanliness is an obsession at the salon with all the best protocols followed and you can be sure of a great conversation ranging from hilarious moments to current affairs. My only regret is that I had to wait for my wife’s prompt to discover this gem and a better me.

Jacqui has been waxing my “bits” for four years now. She is excellent. Professional, friendly, polite and good fun to be around. She generates a very relaxed atmosphere which makes the whole process pass by (almost!) unnoticeably. Highly recommended for guys who are nervous or unsure about intimate waxing.

Been to see Jacqueline twice now for intimate wax and prior to that numerous places over a 12 year period due to changing job locations. I’m never nervous anyway but Jacqueline really makes me feel at home and relaxed and is honestly one of the friendliest, nicest people I’ve ever met. Actually feels like i go to catch up with a friend so takes my mind off any pain ! If you want a wax but feel nervous then i can recommend here as you will get a great wax with no bits missed and Jaqueline is by far the best place i’ve found so far for a wax. Had my first appointment today and I found it rather strange that I was having a relaxed,funny and very open conversation with a stranger who was looking up my backside!!
Jacqueline was amazing , totally professional, full of life and very funny!
Thoroughly recommend her and her staff.
The only regret is that I have to wait a few weeks for the hair to grow back before I return!!
